Resource Validity Date is required for Planning Purposes

If the Resource is Sub-contracting – then Service Date and contract details can be provided

Capacity of the Resource is also needed for planning

Physical Properties – Net Weight/Gross Weight etc is needed

Downtime – Time during which Resource is not available – example – servicing of a resource every alternate monday between 8am – 12noon….so while planning system knows that this resource is not available between these hours

Qualification – Example – Driver is a resource and For a driver to qualify – Driver needs to have a certain driver license…we can mention those details here

Equipment – We can also attach a equipment to a resource like a Container to a Truck , etc…

How to add Equipment Type & Details

Strategy

Priority –> Basis on which Carrier should be given Priority in selection

Cost –> Internal Cost (Optimizer to Calculate)

External Cost (From ERP)

Calculated by Charge Management within TM

Continuous Move –>

Origin –> Delivery 1 –> Delivery 2 –> Coming empty to Origin

Now while Driving is coming back empty from Delivery 2 to Origin, system can add a freight unit in between this path for driver to pick something and go to another place , etc…

This can be achieved if Continous Move is setup.

Arrival Window of continous window –> if arrival time at 1st client is 9am and you get a FU in between (when CONTINOUS MOVE is selected) then this attribute says if it is okay to pick that FU – so if the value is 1 hour, it is okay if we reach 1st client by 10am…so if the truct can pick FU in between and reach 1st client by 10am then that Fu is assigned to this truck else to next truck avaialble.

Share of Business –>

Example –> Carriers that can serve the Oil Industry are very less (Certain industries have this scenario)

So to keep your carriers happy, a company may need to give specific % to each carrier on that Transportation Lane

This is where we can define Tolerances and Penalties for each carrier we add in the Transportation land.

So when the Optimizer is making a decision, the Tolerances and Penalties will be considered if a Carrier has reached its % share and depending upon the penalties that are defined, should the optimizer select the same carrier or another one based on the cost differences.

Maximum Distance for Continuous Move –> if the customer is within 10miles of Existing Route, yes assign the FU else schedule for another truck.
